Habitat and Description: Along roadside; open post oak savannah, gladey areas over rock outcrops; calcareous loamy fine sand. Assoc. with Linum imbricatum, Coreopsis nuecensoides, Sisirhynchium, Euphorbia helleri (in ditches), Phlox drummondii. Abundant perennials with long taproot, stems procumbent, radiating from the top of the root, flwrs. white with reddish tinge on petal edges, full sun.
