Habitat and Description:
Common and conspicuous in small, Iva-dominated blackland prairie opening in loblolly pine forest, on heavy clay Vertisols of Ferris series. Associates include: (see 14 species listed on herbarium sheet). [Annotation by Turner indicates that this is intermediate between the varieties.].
