Habitat and Description: Common in shallow soil on dry rocky slope underlain by Chisos Formation limestone-like conglomerate (lower slope) and Tule Mountain trachy-andesite porphyry (upper slope), in creo-sote-lechuguilla desert succulent sommunity on various exposures; Associates include (see 12 species on herbarium sheet).
