Habitat and Description: Recently cutover area of dry oak-juniper, scattered Stillingea, Yucca, and Berberis, gentle S-facing slope with shallow, rocky soil, deeper on the upper part; scattered but locally abundant in shallow, rocky soil in open areas; flwrs. blue; none yet in full fruit.
