Habitat and Description: Stems somewhat ascending; common in openings in coastal live oak savanna on deep loose sand of Quaternary windblown sand sheet. Associates include: Cenchrus incertus, Trichoneura elegans, Helianthus debilis, H. artophyllus, Palafoxia hookeriana, Eriogonum multiflorum.
