Habitat and Description: Locally common in shallow veneer of sand over caliche in sparsely revegetated caliche pit in Goliad Formation (Pliocene). Associates include: Aristida purpurea, Bouteloua aristoides, Krameria ramossissima, Phyllanthus abnormis, Mentzelia incisa, Sporobolus cryptandrus, Cevallia sinuata.
