Locality: United States, Texas, CHAMBERS, Ca. 2 mi. N Cove, TX - TX 73 - Trinity River. T.R. bottoms under large bridge on TX 73. In marshy bottom land. Sticky, moist gray-brown clay. Elev. 5 ft.
Habitat and Description: Growing in sticky moist gray-brown clay in marshy bottom land. Assoc. incl. Sesbania, composites and grasses, Fraximus, Phyla. Taxodium and Forestiera nearby in groves. Annual herb, 40-60 cm. (In fruit, 1.5 m.) Spindly upright, in clumps. Flwr: yellow, inconspicuous, in heads. Fruits, burs with hooked processes.
