Habitat and Description:
Growing in sticky moist gray-brown clay in marshy bottom land. Assoc. incl. Sesbania, composites and grasses, Fraximus, Phyla. Taxodium and Forestiera nearby in groves. Annual herb, 40-60 cm. (In fruit, 1.5 m.) Spindly upright, in clumps. Flwr: yellow, inconspicuous, in heads. Fruits, burs with hooked processes.
