Habitat and Description:
Rare, local on property, one population of several hundred plants observed in shade of young retama in seasonally wet clay in depressional area (long-abandoned resaca channel) concealed amid tall brush of surrounding natural levees and uplands. Associates include Parkinsonia aculata, Acacia smallii, Salix sp., Mimosa pigra, Echinodorus sp., Eryngium nasturtiifolium, Verbena brasiliense, Panicum hirsutum, Stachys crenata, Pluchea sp., Phyla sp., Malachra capitata, Rumex chrysocaropus, Dichondra sp.
