Habitat and Description: Frequent in open cenizo-dominated shrubland on dry gravelly ridge (Uvalde Gravel). Woody associates include Castela erecta, Colubrina texensis, Condalia spathulata, Croton dioicus, Eysenhardtia texana, Heliotropium torreyi, Krameria ramosissima, Leucophyllum frutescens, Nolina texana, Rhus microphylla, Salvia ballotiflora, Tiquilia canescens.
