Habitat and Description: Rare in clayey sand in grassland component of claypan post oak savanna over Catahoula Formation. Associates include Agrostis hiemalis, Allium canadense var. hyacinthoides, Asclepias viridis, Baptista leucophaea, Bifora americana, Briza minor, Carex complanata, Carex cherokeensis, Dichanthelium dichotomum, D. angustifolium, Echinacea angustifolia, Fimbristylis puberula, Hedeoma pilosum, Helianthemum sp., Herbertia lahue, Heterotheca pilosa, Hordeum pusillum, Juncus brachycarpus, J. marginatus, Krameria lanceolata, Lechea san-sabeana, Linum medium var. texanum, Lotus purshianus, Monarda clinopodioides, oenothera linifolia, Phalaris caroliniana, Phlox cuspidata, Plantago aristata, Polygala incarnata, Rhynchospora harveyi, Ridbeckia hirta, Rumex hastatulus, Sabatia campestris, Schrankia uncinata, Scleria ciliata, Sphenopholis obtusata.
