Habitat and Description: Occasional in shallow clay or clay loam over limestone, in Schizachryium scoparium-Bouteloua pectinata grassland on dry upland with some Juniperus ashei invasion. Associates include Psoralea tenuiflora, Kuhnia eupatoriodes, Eryngium leavenworthii, Euphorbia missurica, E. marginata, Asclepias viridiflora, Croton texensis, Heterotheca canescens, Lygodesmia texana.
