Habitat and Description: Perianth pink; common in mud on exposed flats surrounding small seasonal pond among mesquite woodlands. Associates include Aster subulatus, Baccharis neglecta, Cardiospermum halicacabum, Carex brittoniana, Cynodon dactylon, Cyperus ochraceus, C. odoratus, Echinodorus sp., Eleocharis palustris, Marsilea sp., Paspalum distichum, Persicaria spp., Phyla nodiflora, Polypogon monspeliensis.
