Habitat and Description: Stems tall; perianth pink, stamens scarcely exerted, twice as long as styles; abundant in periodically moist sandy clay alluvium at shallow end of stock tank. Associates include Juncus texanus, Sesbania sp., Paspalum urvillei, Echinochloa sp., Pericaris lapthifolia, P. bicorne, Eleocharis sp., Hydrolea ovata, Xanthium strumarium, Eupatorium serotinum, Cyperus cf. ochraceus.
