Habitat and Description: Locally common in Leton loam in swales and other low wet areas in nonsaline coastal prairie with pimple mounds. Associates in swales include Andropogon virginicus, Aster subulatus, Cyperus articulatus, C. haspan, Eleocharis quadrangulata, Eupatorium glaucescens, Mecardonia acuminata, Panicum hians, Panicum virgatum, Pluchea sp., Rhexia sp., Rhynchospora corniculata, Sagittaria sp., Sesbania drummondii, Sesbania vesicaria, Solidago sempervirens, Tridens strictus, Tripsacum dactyloides.
