Habitat and Description: Occasional in sparsely vegetated spots on sandy loam over Pleistocene fluviatile high terrace deposits, on very gently sloping regularly mown unshaded roadside through post oak savanna largely converted to pasture. Associates include Arenaria drumondii, Baptisia leocophaea, Castilleja indivisa, Hypoxis hirsuta, Polytaenia sp., Pyrrhopappus sp., Schizachyrium scoparium, Tithymalus sp., Valerianella florifera, Vicia ludoviciana.
