Locality: United States, Texas, Potter, 1.4 miles north of Canadian River Bridge on Highway 287. Elev. 3550 ft.
Habitat and Description: Shrub 1-2 feet high, growing on loose sand; trunk about 3 inches in diameter, gnarled, almost buried by sand; bark fibrous, dark gray; leaves shining green; flowers many, white. Shrub type, west slope; associated with Prunus, Yucca, Artemisia, and Gutierrezia.
