Habitat and Description: Rare in open wetland pine savanna on poorly drained, acid silt loam Typic Glossaqualfs (Plant Series) over claypan, in shallow depressional area on +/- level "upland" underlain by Lissie Formation. Associates include Aletris aurea, Anthaenantia rufa, Aristida affinis, Ascyrum stans, Carex glaucescens, Centella asiatica, Dichanthelium sp., Diodia virginiana, Drosera sp., Eleocharis tuberculosa, Eriocaulon decangulare, Eryngium integrifolium, Fuirena sp., Hypericum fasciculatum, Liatris acidota, Lobelia reverchonii, Ludwigia hirtella, Lycopodium alopecuroides, Magnolia virginianum, Marshallia tenuifolia, Myrica sp., Panicum rigidulum, Persea borbonia, Pinguicula pumila, Pinus taeda, Pityopsis graminifolia, Pluchea foetida, Proserpinaca palustris, Rhexia lutea, Schizachryium scoparium, Scleria reticularis, Smilax laurifolia, Tridens ambiguus, Tridens strictus, Xyris sp.
