Habitat and Description: Petals white; abundant in fairly moist, deep, slightly acid, sandy loam Alfisols in patchily disturbed grassland along margin of upland post oak woodland. Associates include Asclepias viridis, Carex cherokeensis, Chamaecrista fasciculata, Desmanthus illinoensis, Erigeron strigosus, Juncus brachycarpus, J. marginatus, Lythrum sp. Panicum hians, Schizachyrium scoparium, Setaria geniculata.
