US Rt. 90 and FM 2523 east of Del Rio. Laughlin AFB. Del Rio Quadrangle. Elev. ca. 1080 - 1120 ft.

Habitat and Description: Occasional in very shallow, well drained, moderately alkaline gravelly loam (Olmos Series, Petrocalcic Calciustolls) over Buda Limestone. Woody associates include: Acacia berlandieri, Berberis trifoliolata, Calliandra conferta, Castela erecta, Colubrina texensis, Condalia spathulata, Croton dioicus, C. incanus, Dalea formosa, Diospyros texena, Echinocereus reichenbachii, Ephedra antisyphilitica, Forestiera angustifolia, Guaiacum angustifolium, Krameria ramosissima, Leucophyllum frutscens, Macrosiphonia macrosiphon, Nolina texana, Opunita leptocaulis, Opunita lindheimeri, Parkinsonia texana, Prosopis glandulosa, Rhus microphylla, Salvia ballotiflora, Schaefferia cuneifolia, Tiquilia canescens, Wedelia hispida, Yucca constricta, Y. treculeana.
