Locality: United States, Texas, Hidalgo, Vicinity of Laguna Sal del Rey: Ca. 0.5 miles west of the Laguna, ca. 5 miles east of Linn, ca. 1.5 miles north of the highway; relatively steep slope in degraded scrub (regrowth from roots, in wake of severe disturbance). Elev. 18 m.
Habitat and Description: Shrub 1 to 2 meters tall, loosely branched; filaments white. Uncommon. Associated species: Prosopis, Bumelia celastrina, Jatropha dioica, Porlieria, Leucophyllum, Opunita lindheimeri.
