Habitat and Description: Locally common in moist sandy loam over claypan in poorly drained area in bed of ephemeral creek, edge of post oak-eastern red cedar woodland. Associates include Cyperus cf. ochraceus, Juncus acuminatus, Limnosciadium pumilium, Panicum hians, Trisetum interruptum, Typha sp.
