Habitat and Description: Sandhill woodlands and sand barrens. Geology - Carrizo Sand (Eocene) - major northward outlier. Community dominated by Quercus incana - Quercus stellata. Associates include Croton argyranthemus, Paronychia drummondii, Penstemon murrayanus, Physalis macrophysa, Polanisia erosa, and Scutellaria cardiophylla.
