Habitat and Description: Clearcut, disturbed deep xeric sandhill woodland, on sand road through pine plantation. Geology - Carrizo Sand (Eocene). Soils - Tonkawa (Typic Quartzipsamments). Associates include Aristida desmantha, Paronychia drummondii, Eriogonum multiflorum, Polygonella polygama, and Tetragonotheca ludoviciana.
