Habitat and Description: Clearcut, disturbed deep xeric sandhill, on sand road in pine plantations. Geology - Carrizo Sand (Eocene). Soils - Tonkawa (Typic Quartzipsamments). Associates include Aristida desmantha, A. longespica var. geniculata, Paronychia drummondii, and Triplasis purpurea.
