Locality: United States, Texas, Tyler, Big Thicket National Preserve, Big Sandy Unit; on N shoreline of large natural pond on NE side of Big Sandy Creek floodplain, S side of E-W stretch of 4WD forest road/horse trail, 2.7 roadmiles S of gate at equestrian area along Sunflower Rd., ca. 2.1 airmiles ENE of jct. F.M. 943 and F.M. 2798 at Segno. Segno Quadrangle. Elev. 160 ft.

Habitat and Description: Occasional in saturated sandy muck in shade of Nyssa aquatica on N shoreline of large natural pond. Other associates include Polygonum amphibium, Sparganium sp., Hypericum (Triadenum) sp.
