Habitat and Description: Acid seep forest at base of slope. Geology - Beaumont Formation (Pleistocene). Soils - Iuka (Aquic Udifluvents). Associates include Alnus serrulata, Rhynchospora mixta, Arisaema triphyllum, Carex leptalea, Apteria aphylla, Cyrilla racemiflora, Platanthera clavellata, Itea virginica, Magnolia virginiana, Osmunda cinnamomea, O. regalis, and Woodwardia areolata.
