Locality: United States, Texas, Burnet, Locally abundant in sandy granitic soil on unshaded recently graded roadside, Co. Rd. 120, 1.3 roadmiles northeast of RM 1431. Southwest corner of Longhorn Cavern Quadrangle.
Habitat and Description: Stems prostrate; corolla lobes greenish white, reddish at tips, entire flowering head appearing bright pink owing to color of exerted filaments. Locally abundant in sandy granitic soil on unshaded recently graded roadside.
