Habitat and Description: On occasionally mown roadside. Shrublet 1/2 meters tall or less, with numerous stems from base; rare in very shallow sandy soil over Yegua Formation (Eocene) rock outcrop on occasionally mown roadside. Associates include Tiquilia canescens, Dalea pogonathera, Melampodium cinereum, Aristida roemeriana, Chloris cucullata, Cenchrus ciliaris.
