Habitat and Description: Known only from Cameron County, Texas. Erect herb. Habitat: Growing in mud or water. Annual. Soil: River silt. Flowers: Terminal - few flowers. Color: Nearly white. Leaves: are green with some red color. Fruit: a small capsule. Bark: reddish. Roots: Fibrous. Not abundant - It grows along the Rio Grande in wet places.
