Habitat and Description:
Erect branched herb. Perennial. Soil: clay. Flowers: very small, axillary. Color: greenish. Leaves: opposite, stipulate, sessile, entire, acute. Fruit: small pod in the axils of the leaves. Abundant in the sandy flats and in salty situations in Cameron County and south into Tamaulipas.
