Habitat and Description: Intermediate to deep open flatwoods ponds, in pine plantations. Geology - Beaumont Formation (Quaternary). Soils - Jasco (Typic Fragiaqualfs). Associates include Anthaenantia rufa, Aristida affinis, Bacopa caroliniana, Cynoctonum mitreola, C. sessilifolium, Coreopsis linifolia, Fuirena breviseta, Ludwigia sphaerocarpa, Oxypolis filiformis, Panicum hemitomon, Proserpinaca pectinata, Rhexia mariana, Rhynchospora cephalantha, R. corniculata, R. elliottii, R. filifolia, R. perplexa, R. pusilla, R. tracyi, Sabatia dodecandra, Scleria baldwinii, S. reticularis, Xyris fimbriata, and X. iridifolia.
