Habitat and Description: Rare, local in tight fine sand in large but shallow (very ephemeral) freshwater pothole on gently undulating sandy Ingleside Barrier upland otherwise covered in oak shinnery. Associates include Xyris sp. (stunted X. ambigua 8" tall?), Boltonia diffusa, and upland species such as Rhynchospora fascicularis, Paspalum plicatulum, Croton capitatus, Polypremum procumbens, Diodia teres, Chamaecrista fasciculata.
