Habitat and Description: Common in hillside seepage bog dominated by pitcher-plants and beakrushes, on moderate to gentle, mostly S-facing slope underlain by Catahoula Formation. Associates include Aletris aurea, Ascyrum stans, Bartonia paniculata, Dichanthelium ensifolium, Drosera brevifolia, D. capillaris, Eriocaulon texense, E. decangulare, Eryngium integrifolium, Helianthus angustifolius, Hypericum fasciculatum, Ilex coriacea, Juncus trigonocarpus, Lachnocaulon anceps, Lobelia reverchonii, Lycopodium appressum, L. carolinianum, Magnolia virginiana, Marshallia tenuifolia, Panicum virgatum, Paspalum floridanum, Pinguicula pumila, Pogonia ophioglossoides, Polygala ramosa, Rhus vernix, Rhynchospora globularis, R. grayi, R. oligantha, R. plumosa, R. pusilla, Sabatia gentianoides, Sarracenia alata, Schoenolirion croceum, Scleria georgiana, S. triglomerata, Smilax laurifolia, Spiranthes praecox, Utricularia subulata, Viburnum nudum, Xyris spp.
