Habitat and Description: Occasional in and along margin of hillside seepage bog dominated by pitcher-plants and beakrushes, on moderate to gentle, mostly S-facing slope underlain by Catahoula Formation. Associates include Ascyrum stans, Ilex coriacea, Magnolia virginiana, Rhus vernix, Smilax laurifolia, Viburnum nudum, Aletris aurea, Asclepias rubra, Calopogon tuberosus, Eupatorium leucolepis, E. rotundifolium, Osmunda regalis, Rudbeckia scabrifolia, Sarracenia alata, Dichanthelium ensifolium, Eriocaulon decangulare, Lachnocaulon anceps, Schizachyrium scoparium, Scleria georgiana, Xyris spp.
