Habitat and Description: Common in moist sand (Galveston-Mustang association) in N-S sendero cut through shallow swale low Pleistocene-era relict barrier island dunes covered with live oak-redbay woodlands. Associates include Buchnera floridana, Centella asiatica, Fuirena scirpoidea, Juncus sp., Mikania scandens, Rhynchospora fascicularis.
