Locality: United States, Texas, BREWSTER, 26 mi. E of Marathon. Near the tops of steep rocky mesas. Elev. 2500 ft.
Habitat and Description: Associated plants: Juniperus, Sophora, Agave lecheguilla, Dasylirion, Yucca, Opuntia, Fraxinus greggii, Fouquieria splendens. Height: 5-15 ft. D.B.H.: 6 in. Common, dominant, scattered. Seeds thin-shelled. Bark blackish, Needles 2.
