Habitat and Description: Presumably the regionally common juniper in post oak-blackjack oak woodlands on calcareous sandstone. Woody associates include Bumelia lanuginosa, Celtis reticulata, Fraxinus texensis, Lonicera albiflora, Mimosa borealis, Opuntia lindheimeri, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Prunus mexicana, Quercus marilandica, Q. stellata, Rhus toxicodendron, R. trilobata, Ulmus crassifolia.
