Habitat and Description: Locally common in red sandy clay in sparsely vegetated eroded area among upland post oak woodlands and grasslands. Associates include Aristida dichotoma, Acalypha gracilens, Panicum brachyanthum, Diodia teres, Liatris elegans, Polypremum procumbens.
