Habitat and Description: Locally common in shallow veneer of sand over caliche in sparsely revegetated caliche pit in Goliad Formation (Pliocene). Associates include Aristida purpurea, Krameria ramosissima, Acalypha hederacea, Phyllanthus abnormis, Mentzelia incisa, Sporobolus cryptandrus, Cevallia sinuata.
