Habitat and Description: Frequent in large expanse of coastal prairie on Victine clay and Narta fine sandy loam over Beaumont Formation. Associates include Acacia angustissima, Ambrosia psilostachya, Andropogon glomeratus, Asclepias viridis, Aster sp., Bothriochloa saccharoides, Bouchetia erecta, Cirsium horridulum, Dichanthelium oligosanthes, Dyschoriste linearis, Eleocharis sp., Euphorbia bicolor, Krameria lanceolata, Nemastylis geminiflora, Neptunia lutea, Nothoscordum bivalve, Panicum hians, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Polygala alba, Rhynchosia texana, Schizachyrium scoparium, Sisyrinchium sp., Spartina spartinae, S. patens.
