Habitat and Description: Frequent in dry sand and gravel among gray-brown igneous rock outcrops (Barrel Springs Formation), grassy top and shrubby sides of S-facing bluff on lower slope tributary. Associates include Aspicarpa sp., Bulbostylis juncoides, Calliandra herbacea, Carminatia tenuiflora, Cheilanthes spp., Cologania angustifolia, Croton pottsii, Cyperus spectabilis, Dasylirion sp., Hedyotis nigricans, Heteropogon contortus, Iresine heterophylla, Muhlenbergia emersleyi, M. tenuiflora, Pellaea ternifolia, Pinus cembroides, quercus grisea, Trixis californica.
