Habitat and Description: On benched portion of steep, W-facing Glen Rose Limestone slope. Occasional, with Muhlenbergia reverchonii and Bouteloua pectinata in openings in Juniperus ashei-Quercus fusiformis-Garrya lindheimeri woodland. In shallow, well drained, calcareous, moderately alkaline, gravelly clay loam Typic Ustochrepts (Brackett Series).
