S of northern perimeter road from a point ca. 0.3 mi E of a 90 degree bend, about midway between east and west arms of camp, ca. 3.5-3.6 airmiles SE of jct. US Rt. 281 and F. M. 1885 at Peadenville. Fort Wolters Training Site (Texas Army National Guard). Whitt Quadrangle. Elev. 1010 - 1020 ft.

Habitat and Description: In opening in post oak woodland on dry sandstone slope. Corolla upturned; lobes +/- equal, with upper lobes spreading not arching over stamens; locally common. Soils: moderately deep, well drained, slightly acid fine sandy loam Udic Paleustalfs (Bonti Series). Geology: sandstone of Mineral Wells Formation (Pennsylvania).
