Habitat and Description:
In opening in post oak woodland on dry sandstone slope. Corolla upturned; lobes +/- equal, with upper lobes spreading not arching over stamens; locally common. Soils: moderately deep, well drained, slightly acid fine sandy loam Udic Paleustalfs (Bonti Series). Geology: sandstone of Mineral Wells Formation (Pennsylvania).
