Habitat and Description: Rare and local on preserve, a few plants in dry sandy soil. Woody associates include Ampelopsis arborea, Baccharis texana, Bumelia lanuginosa, Celtis reticulata, Cissus incisa, Cocculus carolinus, Colubrina texensis, Condalia hookeri, Cornus drummondii, Diospyros texana, Erythrina herbacea, Forestiera angustifolia, Indigofera suffruticosa, Opuntia lindheimeri, Prosopis glandulosa, Rhus toxicodendron, Sapindus sponaria, Smilax bona-nox, Sophora secundiflora, Vitis mustangensis, Yucca treculeana, Zanthoxylum fagara.
