Habitat and Description: Rare in deep, well drained, medium acid, fine sandy loam Glossic Paleudalfs in recently burned sedge-dominated grassland. Associates include Cyperus globulosus, Dichanthelium sphaerocarpon, Juncus marginatus, Paspalum setaceum, Rhynchospora harveyi, Scleria sp., Setaria geniculata, Sorghastrum nutans, Buchnera americana, Centrosema virginianum, Erigeron strigosus, Hieracium gronovii, Lechea mucronata, Liatris sp., Linum medium var. texanum, Oenothera linifolia, Plantago patagonica, Ptilimnium nuttallii, Rhynchosia latifolia, Rudbeckia hirta, Sabatia campestris.
