Habitat and Description:
Erect herb. Fields and open ground. Annual. Soil sandy loam; flowers terminal, cluster. Color pink; odor faint; leaves leafy below, ovoid, thin, pubescent, obtuse. Fruit a small capsule. Bark green; roots fibrous. Abundant during winter and early spring.
