Habitat and Description: Perennial. A low herb from perennial roots, prostrate or ascending. Spreading. Soil: sand. Flower: terminal, reddish, no odor. Leaves: alternate or clustered, cordate in outline. Deeply incised. Roots: deep seated. Abundant in sandy or dry soils.
