Habitat and Description: Known only from S. Texas. A straight erect shrub. Chaparral forest. Perennial. Soil: clay. Flowers; small, axillary, clustered, greenish, no odor. Leaves: smooth, yellowish green, thick, obuse. Fruit: a three lobed pod. Bark: pale. Roots: woody. Occasional. It is a good ornamental shrub.
