Habitat and Description: Stems prostrate. In deep, loose, well drained, noncalcareous sandy loam (Hebbronville Series, Aridic Haplustalfs), mechanically disturbed pasture grassland. Associates include Aphanostephus skirrhobasis, Linaria texana, Pyrrhoappus sp., Erarostits secundiflora, Evolvulus alsinoides, Palafoxia texana, Cenchrus incertus, Croton glandulosus, C. capitatus, Chloris cucullata, Heterotheca latifolia, Rhynchosia americana, Descurainia pinnata, Hermannia texana.
