Habitat and Description: Erect branched low herb. Open sandy ground. Annual. Soil: sandy loam. Flowers: in small clusters, white, no odor. Leaves: opposite, small, oblong, pale, smooth. Fruit: a small capsule. Bark: green. Roots: fibrous. Occasional throughout the Lower Rio Grande Valley, never abundant.
